Chapter 75: Chapter 75 Good night or Bad night
Kyra glanced around the cottage. It was larger than Lucas’s, which wasn’t surprising considering Mia had mentioned she had fifteen mates, all of them wolves.
"Wow, Lucas! When I heard you had been kidnapped again, I was shocked. Oh god, how many people have you offended that they all want to kidnap you?" Mia said, her mouth full of food.
"I don’t even remember how I offended Vincent! Anyway, I’ll ask the Patriarch." Lucas replied.
"You know how to offend anyone without even trying." Pablo said, rolling his eyes. Mia’s four mates laughed at this.
"That wasn’t funny." Lucas growled.
"So...How does the feral king look like? I’ve heard about him, but I haven’t seen him in real life," Mia asked, curiosity evident in her voice.
"He looks good." Kyra said, taking a sip of water.
"He looks good, but not as good-looking as me." Lucas said quickly, puffing out his chest.
Mia scoffed. "Sure, Lucas, keep telling yourself that. You’re the ugliest male I’ve ever seen."
"Ugly?! Kyra, tell her how handsome I am!" Lucas said, giving her puppy eyes. Mia also looked at her with puppy eyes.
Kyra: "..." Can I just shut their mouth with tape?
After dinner, they all gathered in the living room. Kyra and Pablo looked at each other speechlessly.
Then, their attention was drawn to Mia and Lucas, who were still bickering.
"Argh! What did Kyra see in you? Don’t worry, I’ll introduce her to some better-looking males." Mia said, a hint of disdain in her voice.
"Shut up, Mia! I don’t know what Pablo even sees in you, you’re like a monkey running out of the forest." Lucas retorted.
Mia’s eyes narrowed, and she shouted angrily, "You idiot! Have you seen yourself? As for Pablo, he can’t get enough of me, okay?"
"Haha! Lucas, it’s getting late, we should go. Stop fighting." Kyra said, gently tugging on his arms.
"Because he’s lovesick!" Lucas said, rolling his eyes.
Mia’s eyes narrowed dangerously. "You little-" Mia shouted angrily, however, she was cut off as Pablo pulled her toward him, and her hands landed on his muscular chest as he kissed her roughly and passionately, silencing her.
Kyra and Lucas’ eyes widened, and a deep blush crept onto their cheeks.
"Well, I think that’s our cue to leave. Goodnight, everyone!" Kyra said quickly, tugging on Lucas’ hands.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Goodnight." Lucas mumbled.
It was night. The sky was filled with stars, and the moon was a half-circle, shining softly. The quiet of the night was broken only by the gentle rustling of leaves and the distant calls of owls.
Lucas took Kyra behind his cottage. They had eaten well, so it was a good time for a walk to help with digestion.
Kyra exclaimed as she looked around. The grassland on the mountain was peaceful and open, with tall grass swaying gently in the wind. The cold air felt fresh and crisp. Here and there, fireflies flickered, their tiny lights dancing in the night.
"Let’s run together." Lucas said, extending his hand towards her. Even though it was night, the moon lit the area dimly.
"Sure." Kyra replied. She put her hand in his, and together they ran through the grass.
Their hair flew in the wind as Kyra smiled at Lucas, love in her eyes. She knew he could run faster, but he kept his pace to match hers.
"Argh! Hahaha!" When Kyra tripped, Lucas fell with her, and they both laughed, looking at each other.
"That was fun." Kyra said, closing her eyes. She felt a peace she had never felt before. She felt safe with Lucas, loved, and she trusted him completely, feeling a sweet tiredness.
"Kyra..." he shook her gently but found she was already asleep. He looked at her long lashes, then quietly picked her up, kissing the crown of her head.
"I love you so much, Kyra," he whispered, smiling as he carried her towards the cottage.

As Monica promised, she would come to Vincent’s room at midnight. She dressed seductively again, wearing a short white dress and applying dark red lipstick. She looked like a witch.
Blowing a kiss in the mirror, she glanced at her mates. Some were outside guarding the castle, while others had gone with a team to the Beast City to purchase materials.
"Hhaa! If I don’t come back at night! Don’t look for me." she said as she walked out again, unaware that she would regret her words.
The corridor was silent, as everyone was already asleep. She walked upstairs towards Vincent’s room, anticipating a steamy night.
"Oops! Where is the light?" she spoke angrily.
The corridor was dark, with only dim light coming from downstairs. She muttered curses under her breath as her footsteps echoed.
"Oh, which is his room?" she muttered as she looked around. "I am tired." she muttered again.
Unaware that she was on the third floor, where Kyra also lived, with only a hall room and two rooms, one of which was closed and the other used by Kyra, now empty.
She saw a room and walked toward it, opening the door, which made a sound. She had never seen Vincent’s room, so she didn’t know which one was his.
"Vince! Are you here?" she shouted.
She felt a presence behind her, feeling happy, thinking it was Vincent. As she turned around, she saw no one.
"I felt someone was there! But where is Vincent?" she thought. Suddenly, she felt hands on her shoulders from behind, a chill running down her spine as cold air hit her neck.
"Vincent... is that you?" she shuttered, Kyle’s words coming to her mind.
’Haven’t you heard? They say there are ghosts roaming the castle at night.’
She turned her head slowly and saw a hideous face emitting dark blue energy. No words came out of her mouth as she froze, staring at it with wide eyes.
"Ahhhhhhhhhh!" She tried to scream, but no words came out as the ghostly figure looked at her with white eyes.
Slowly, an invisible hand started choking her neck, causing her to cough. "Help..." she gasped.
