Chapter 77: Chapter 77 Beastmen lifespan

Kyra glanced between Vincent and Lucas, noting their tousled hair and the tension crackling between them.

*Cough* Kyra faked a cough to redirect their attention.

Her heart raced as she found herself the center of their attention, caught between two incredibly handsome.

Feeling small in their presence, she mustered the courage to sit beside Lucas.

"Vincent, why don’t you talk to Kyra later? Let her have her breakfast first." Lucas suggested, his voice softening as he addressed Kyra directly, "Sweetie, why don’t you eat your breakfast first, okay?"

Kyra arched an eyebrow at Lucas before turning to Vincent, who had fallen silent.

"Do you have breakfast?" Kyra asked again, Vincent shook his head.

"In that case, let’s have breakfast together, shall we, Lucas?" Kyra turned to Lucas, seeking his agreement.

"Sure." Lucas replied, managing a forced smile.

Kyra couldn’t understand the weird vibes between them during breakfast; it was silent, and she sensed some tension simmering beneath the surface. She wondered what might have gone down between them.

After they finished eating, Vincent proposed, "Let me show you around our territory. It’s not too far from the Silver Wolf Tribe."

"Sounds good," Kyra replied.

"I’ll tag along." Lucas chimed in, and noticing Kyra’s agreement, Vincent silently cursed under his breath.

As Lucas secured the door, Kyra and Vincent descended the stairs together. She stole a glance at him, admiring his handsome profile; his skin seemed flawless compared to hers.

"Like what you see?" he teased, a smirk playing on his lips. Kyra felt her cheeks flush.

"I wasn’t looking at you," she mumbled softly as Vincent leaned closer.

"Really? Look me in the eyes and say that" Vincent challenged. Kyra reluctantly met his intense gaze, her hazel eyes with blue speckles meeting his fiery red ones.

Her heart started racing as she took a step back, afraid he could hear its frantic beats.

"I see." Vincent chuckled, his sharp hearing catching her nervous heartbeat.

"What did you see?" Lucas asked, rolling his eyes. "Let’s go. I will follow you." With that, he transformed into a wolf, and Kyra climbed onto his back.

As Lucas spoke, Vincent nodded and shifted into a snake, his dark black scales gleaming under the sunlight. Kyra watched, admiring how his body slithered smoothly across the ground.

Just as they were about to reach the gate of the tribe, a voice stopped them.

"Feral king, I have heard a lot about you." Partrich said, chuckling. His eyes flashed as he looked at Vincent, flanked by two males.

Vincent looked Partrich up and down, recognizing him. He shifted back into his human form. "I hope all you’ve heard is good." Vincent said with a chuckle, noticing Kyra dismount from Lucas, who then turned back into a beastmen.

Partrich smiled smugly, knowing that the feral king had a soft spot for Kyra. ’If a male falls in love, it’s easy to blackmail him,’ he thought.

"And Lucas, did you forget your duties again?" Partrich Tim asked, raising his eyebrows at Lucas.

Lucas approached Partrich and leaned toward his ear. "Partrich Tim, I know your secret," he said, causing Partrich to look at him with suspicious eyes and raised eyebrows.

"I know you like my mom." Lucas whispered, causing Partrich’s eyes to widen and a blush to cover his cheeks. Behind Partrich, the two males’ eyes widened in shock.

Lucas smirked. Partich Tim was shocked.

He finally understood: ’If a male falls in love, it’s easy to blackmail him.’ The same was true for him.

When did Lucas notice that he liked Gina? His heartbeat started racing as he looked at Lucas, wondering what would happen if he told his mom. Fear gripped him—the fear of losing her. As a male, he knew he needed to be straightforward, but back then, his insecurities held him back. He never confessed his love, and now more than twenty years had passed. 𝒏𝒐𝙫𝙥𝙪𝙗.𝒄𝙤𝙢

Partich Tim used to be a shy and fearful wolf, haunted by the scar on his back from when a tiger had attacked him. No female would love a male with such a hideous scar, especially not Gina, who had eight gorgeous, talented, handsome, and super powerful males.

So he never confessed his love. He just silently supported her in the background, hoping one day she would notice him. But that day never came.

He watched her cubs grow, always treating them specially, knowing they were a part of her. He still hoped she would accept him one day. They were still in their prime, and beastmen had longer lifespans, living around one hundred fifty years.

From age one to ten, they were in the tender age—children.

Eleven to thirty were the teen age.

Forty to sixty was the prime mature age.

Sixty to one hundred was the silver age.

One hundred to five hundred was the golden age, full of experience.

If a beast had a rank higher than 10, he could live more than five hundred years, known as the vintage age.

Females would come into heat from age eighteen to twenty, depending on their body type.

"Partich, please give me one more day off. I can’t leave Kyra alone with a male who isn’t her mate," Lucas said, winking at Partich.

Partich forced a smile. "Sure, Lucas. Why do you even need to ask me? Just leave already, haha!" he said through gritted teeth.

Vincent watched the exchange with bored expression.

Kyra glanced at Partich, having overheard Lucas. She wasn’t deaf, after all. It was shocking that Partich actually liked Lucas’s mom and Lucas was well aware of this.

Finally, Lucas and Kyra left the tribe. Partich watched their backs as he turned to face two males standing behind him, his expression turning cold.

"Don’t tell anyone about this." he said, rubbing his temple.

"What matter, Partich? We didn’t hear anything," one of the males replied with a teasing smile. "But, we always need some coins to buy clothes to impress the females..."

Partich muttered a curse under his breath. "Let’s go to my house. I’ll give you both enough coins."
