Chapter 79: It’s Time
Rexion’s training went well. John made him hunt ten Silver-rank Monsters. Although the little guy suffered injuries and stumbled a bit, one hour was enough for John to nail some basic combat skills into him.
John also ultimately fed him 30 Soul Crystals of Prime-stage Silver-rank Monsters in the span of that hour on top of ten Soul Crystals from Monsters Rexion hunted himself.
"Alright, last hunt. This time, you’ll be fighting a strong Prime-stage Silver-rank Monster."
Rexion cried with spirit and eagerness.

Since Rexion could eat Monster’s body to increase his stats and even gain a temporary buff thanks to his innate talent—Sanguinite Gluttony, Rexion could increase his stats faster than regular Monsters.
Soon, John found the target. It was a giant hybrid of a spider and a butterfly.
Sleeping on a giant web created between two trees, its dark pink wings with yellow patterns were folded, and its six legs curled around its body, with the webs in the surrounding acting as some kind of trap and defense while it slept.
Pymon found it while flying through upper part of the trees and with his eyesight, he located this hidden spider amidst greenary and webs.
There were already sevearl cocoons wrapped around which were obviously the monsters hunted by this Gloomrot Moth-Spore Spider — Flora / Poison — Prime.
Rexion entered the area, John and others behind watching from different tree branches.
This area was the spider’s territory and these webs connected between trees at various places were death traps for monsters, which was one of the reasons this roughly a hundred-meter radius area was dead silent.
’Get as close as you can by dodging and moving around the webs.’
As an Adult-stage Monster, Rexion was three meters tall and almost five meters long, longer if his tail was included.
Still, Rexion was agile and swift. He jumped, twirled, and twisted with flexibility just like how his Bloodscript attribute works in the most flexible and versatile fashion ever.
But Rexion hit a limit soon when he was around twenty meters away from the monster. There was no way to get close to the spider without getting touched by the web with Rexion’s current body size.
’Alright, use Searing Blood Armor and get ready to engage.’
Rexion’s nostriled flared up with crimson-light sparks before all of his current soul energy was consumed and his body became a bit bigger with extra layer of sleek scaled armor covering him. The connecting lines of the scales lit up with golden light.
’Go!’
Rexion jumped forward while clawing, slashing apart a giant web before entering the spider’s room.
The Moth Spider’s eight eyes opened, and it screeched before jumping and spreading its wings, positioning itself in a threatening way before doing anything else.
Rexion was not the one to back down. He promptly jumped and swung his tail.
At the same time, the spider also flapped its wings forward, using it as a block while they wrapped up with threads.
The tail struck the wings and the Moth Spider was flung away.
Rexion’s stats after usign Searing Blood Armor surpassed this Prime-stage Silver-rank Moth Spider, so it was smacked away, but a thick web string shot out of its mouth to a nearby before it swung back at Rexion, it’s eight legs extended with poisonous spike, aimed at Rexion.
’Don’t take them head on, brat! Roll forward like I taught you and reverse slap your tail!’
Rexion unwillingly smashed his tail on the ground, using its force to propell himself while lying sideways, rolling forward.
Internally, Rexion cried out. ’It looks so lame!’
But lame as it was, Rexion dodged the spider and also squarely struck another tail whip, right at its back, as it was smashed into a tree.
’Go!’
Rexion jumped like a rocket, using his tail again to smash into the ground and use it as a pushing force to increase his pouncing speed.
Rexion’s claws of all four legs struck right on the back of the Moth Spider, who had just farted out a dark green orb that exploded into a poisonous mist in ten meters radius.
Rexion roared and just clawed, ripping apart its wings and body with pure physical strength while the Moth Spider continued to bleed and burn from Searing Blood Armor’s effect.
The poison was affecting Rexion as his scales were sizzling, and he was also feeling a bit wobbly, but the motion of his claws ripping apart and shredding the Moth Spider didn’t stop until that Monster completely quieted down. 𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙥𝙪𝙗.𝒄𝙤𝙢
’Alright, that’s a job well done, buddy! Always be fast and precise, and you can take down any motherfucker out there! Your thick and strong tail is an awesome, versatile weapon.’
John grinned. Drakes are awesome! Although not a dragon as they didn’t have wings, Rexion’s physical coordination and flexibility were crazy good.
’This is not good. Alfred will lose out against Rexion this way,’ John internally pouted as he jumped and swung through the tree branch and landed beside the dead body of the Moth Spider.
He didn’t like that Alfred wasn’t the strongest! Well, he currently was, but Rexion was going to be strongest soon after his complete training was over and he reached the peak of Silver-rank.
’Alfred must be the strongest! Maybe I can give some dragon genes to Alfred down the line. Yep, I should do that. In Gold-rank, Alfred will be the strongest of my Monsters even if Rexion takes the cake in Silver-rank.’
"Alright, here you go. Eat this," John said as he extracted the soul crystal from the Moth Spider.
The clock was about to hit 7 p.m.
At 10 p.m, the four evil Tamers were going to meet with the knights to recieve their demand—King-rank fruits and Gold Essence Coins.
"Alright, everyone. Let’s return and take a look at them secretly. We have to prepare now to save the kids."
John sent Alfred and Rexion into the Monster Paradise while he jumped and landed on Pymon, who flew up before the duo streaked towards the north side of the first mountain from the south where he currently was.
He had to approach that area without letting them know there was a human in the area.
That was why John had closed his eyes and was watching everything through Pymon’s eyes while flying really high up.
’Alright, the site’s clear. Let’s land,’ John commanded as he and Pymon landed at the place where he had previously camped and dug the tunnel with the diggers.
There was only the dug up well there since he had stored the camp inside Monster Paradise. So he could just take it all out anywhere and camp. Convenient.
Right after landing, John immediatly entered Monster Paradise with Pymon as there was no point in lingering here yet.
"When are we going to save them, Master?" Pymon asked.
"There’s still time. We will check out their out at 9 p.m. They will probably leave half an hour before the deal time since it just takes ten minutes to reach the camp of the knights from here with flying Monsters."
"But until then, we will need diggers and some monsters who can map out the ground with some kind of seismic waves or whatever bullshit useful powers they might have."
The plan was to accurately dig from the cavern to right below the cage in which the kids were imprisoned.
"I can sense blood. Rexion too," Alfred said. "The blood of those kids is easy to tell apart because it’s weaker than the Gold-rank Tamers."
"So if we just follow the general direction of their blood from the cave and dig towards them, we will reach them?" John rubbed his chin. "Sounds good."
"Alright, let’s get the diggers and any other extra help we can get before we start."
