Tong Yao’s heart sunk as she thought about it. She turned her head and gently woke up Han Enzhen, "Enzhen, when you came up just now, did you lock the door downstairs?"
Han Enzhen was stunned for a moment before shaking her head, "No."
Tong Yao had a bad feeling in her heart. She glanced at the still sleeping Guo Jinnian and spoke softly, "You watch over Jinnian, I’ll go down and lock the door."
Hearing that Tong Yao was going down, Han Enzhen was somewhat worried, "Yaoyao, be careful."
Tong Yao nodded, "You watch over Jinnian, even if I don’t come back, don’t go downstairs. Just wait for help here."
If necessary, she could only try to lead the threat away. Guo Jinnian was already in a dangerous situation, if he suffered another major injury, he might not survive this time.
Hearing that Tong Yao might not come back, Han Enzhen was startled, "Yaoyao, don’t scare me. You’re just going to lock the door, how can you not come back?"

As she tried to lock the door quickly, it seemed as if the person outside had heard her movements and directly pushed the door open. Tong Yao, hit by the door, fell into the water, swallowing a mouthful of dirty water. Before she could get up, she was caught by her hair and lifted out of the water, quickly followed by a man’s voice full of surprise, shouting in English for his mate.
A chill ran down Tong Yao’s spine. She tried to break free from the man, but was punched in the face. She was a little dazed from the punch, her cheek was numb and swollen without even looking at it.
The man was tall and strong. He dragged Tong Yao out like a kitten or puppy. When she saw another person approaching fast with a flashlight, she knew the man’s accomplice had arrived. Her heart sank, knowing she was doomed.
Barely had the thought passed through her mind when she heard a scream from the man holding her. He immediately let go of her. As Tong Yao got up from the water, she turned her head to see two more shadowy figures. One was fighting with the man and the other was coming towards her. Tong Yao retreated instinctively but then heard a familiar voice.
"Don’t be scared, it’s me, Fu Yiheng."
Hearing those words, Tong Yao was relieved. Subconsciously looking at the two men fighting, she knew Fu Yiheng was here now. It was obvious who was fighting with the foreign man. She hurriedly said, "Quickly, go help Ahchen!"
Only then did Fu Yiheng react. He quickly joined the fight, but before he could land a punch on the tall figure, he was hit instead and dazed by the blow.
He did not expect the usually sophisticated Si Chen to be so violent in a fight. Every move he made was powerful. In a very short time, the shadowy figure was losing, and the other one with the flashlight, seeing the fight, not only didn’t join in, but ran away instead.
Seeing this, the foreign man was distracted and was promptly kicked into the water by Si Chen. After swallowing a few mouthfuls of filthy water, he did not attack Si Chen again, but got up and ran away.
Si Chen did not chase after him but walked over to Tong Yao instead, anxiously helping her up and asking, "Yaoyao, are you hurt?"
Although it was too dark to see Tong Yao’s condition, seeing her standing in front of him let Si Chen breathe a sigh of relief.
At this point Fu Yiheng turned on the flashlight. Unused to the sudden brightness after hours of darkness, Tong Yao instinctively raised her hand to shield her eyes.
Seeing this, Fu Yiheng promptly pointed the flashlight away. However, this fleeting beam allowed Si Chen to notice the injury on Tong Yao’s face and her disheveled appearance.
Si Chen’s face darkened. His chest felt as though someone had struck him with a knife, the pain intense. He quickly removed his clothing and helped Tong Yao put it on, then touched her face, his voice trembling, "Are you hurt anywhere else? Does your stomach hurt?"
Fu Yiheng also caught sight of Tong Yao’s condition and quickly looked away. He waited until she had put the clothes on before looking back.
Since knowing Si Chen, he always appeared calm and composed, rarely showing emotional fluctuations. This was the first time Tong Yao saw him like this, his eyes filled with guilt and self-blame, his voice trembling. She knew he was scared.
Tong Yao quickly said, "Don’t worry, I just got punched. My stomach doesn’t hurt, I was protecting it."
No sooner had her words fallen than she was scooped up by Si Chen. She instinctively wrapped her arms around Si Chen’s neck. She had originally wanted to act vulnerable and cry a little in front of him, but seeing him this guilt-ridden and worried, Tong Yao couldn’t bear to worry him further.
Fu Yiheng glanced around and suddenly asked, "Where’s Guo Jinnian? Weren’t the two of you together?"
Saying this, he instinctively shone the flashlight all around. When the beam fell on the staircase, he saw two women and was startled. Looking closer, he realized it was Guo Jinnian and another woman he did not recognize.
At this moment, Guo Jinnian also saw that it was Si Chen who had come and breathed a sigh of relief. Han Enzhen had woken her up before, saying that Tong Yao had been gone for a long time and hadn’t come back up, and that there was some noise downstairs, so she had hurried down. It turned out that Si Chen had found them.
