Despite this, Guo Jinnian didn’t take it to heart, she didn’t want Tong Yao to feel guilty so she casually replied: "This is nothing, no blood was drawn. I’ve had worse while fighting with others, even having my bones exposed didn’t bother me."
Hearing this, Tong Yao immediately asked Si Chen, "Ahchen, do you know any effective scar removal medicine? Jinnian has a scar on her arm."

After eating, Si Chen took some anti-inflammatory medicine from the medical kit for Guo Jinnian to take. He then asked Fu Yiheng to re-bandage her arm, while he treated the wounds on Tong Yao’s face with some topical medicine.
Tong Yao winced in pain. Sensing this, Si Chen immediately lightened his touch, murmuring softly, "Hold on for a bit. The wound got dirty, it needs to be disinfected."
As Tong Yao was pregnant, he could not randomly treat her. Si Chen could only clean the affected area where the skin had been cut.
Tong Yao nodded, "I’m fine. I just wasn’t prepared just now. Actually, it’s not that painful."
Si Chen didn’t say anything, but his gaze was full of concern. After treating the wounds on Tong Yao’s face, he noticed some blood in her scalp. Frowning, he brushed aside her hair to take a look. Upon closer inspection, he noticed some spots where the blood had seeped out.
When she saw his attention was on her head, Tong Yao explained, "I got my hair pulled out twice by that man. The second time he even dragged me out of the building using my hair."
A cold glint flashed in Si Chen’s eyes. He used a cotton swab to help clean Tong Yao’s hair and said with lingering regret, "I arrived too late."
Tong Yao shook her head, "Not late at all, you arrived just in time. By the way, it’s such a coincidence that you all happened to be here?"
This time, before Si Chen could speak, Fu Yiheng beat him to answer, "If we talk about this, I can only praise Doctor Si. We never thought he was so intelligent. Since the moment he found out you were missing from the rental house, he has been looking for you. We already came to the bridge once but couldn’t find you. Then after Doctor Si heard that you were seen near the Mall, he started looking for you in this area."
Fu Yiheng swallowed, and then exaggeratedly continued, "After not finding you, we noticed that two men were also wandering in the area, seemingly looking for someone. Dr. Si was smart and turned off the flashlight while keeping an eye on them. Eventually, we found you all."

Tong Yao was startled and horrified by what she heard. As if remembering something, she turned towards Si Chen in shock, "Earlier when I was on the rooftop, I saw two flashlight beams. One of them extinguished later. Was that yours?"
Si Chen nodded and gripped Tong Yao’s hand lightly, "We didn’t know you were on the roof at that time."
Tong Yao didn’t expect that the dramatic missed encounter scenes we see in TV dramas actually would happen to her and Si Chen in reality. She was grateful that Si Chen was smart, otherwise, she wouldn’t have been able to escape this disaster.
The group was exhausted and sleepy after the long day. After eating, everyone squeezed into the blankets to rest. Si Chen and Fu Yiheng sat on either side. They couldn’t cover themselves with the blankets but huddling together still was quite warm.
Zhou Minyue thought that Si Chen and Fu Yiheng would respect her being female and let her sleep in the blanket space as well. However, there was no room for her. The night on the bridge was very cold and Zhou Minyue started to feel chilly.
Seeing that Tong Yao and the others were already fast asleep, she could only go back to her own spot in dejection. She had also received a blanket earlier when she was with the others from her academy. She had followed Si Chen and his group here from there, hoping that they would remember the ties from studying together and let her join them. However, she hadn’t expected to be left out.
Previously slightly reluctant, Zhou Minyue finally gave up. Getting Si Chen’s attention on her seemed very difficult. And even if she could do it by a fluke, she could never eliminate the shadow of Tong Yao from his life.
