Chapter 1093: The Power of Time
In that situation of total despair, losing control of his own body, feeling as if something was taking possession of him, Vicente did the one thing he had sealed himself off from doing for years.
Shifting his energies to perform the last movements he could make before falling under the control of the owner of the previous voice, he scattered candles and salt in his surroundings, before cutting one of his fingers with his teeth, putting his blood into the mix.
"Hellish forces, help me rid this evil of the world!" His words echoed across the water, reaching the disappearing souls consumed by the light, but also the figure behind the phenomenon happening to Vicente.
That golden man, shrouded in light and an aura of absolute power, frowned as he changed his posture. Looking at the young man still in the underwater world, he saw a mist of darkness forming around the boy, sensing what was about to happen.
With an expression of displeasure, he moved, crossing the sky and the underwater space between them, attacking with a punch towards the young man.
His movement was lightning fast. Before the roar of his movement reached the ears of all living creatures up to a few dozen kilometers away, he appeared in front of Vicente, one of his fists coming close to the face of the helpless young man in front of him.
Ignoring the ones he had lost to Vicente’s movements, he whispered to his target, "You should have accepted peacefully. You’d have the glory of entering the next height and being used by an Entitled Deity like me, mortal!"
As he spoke, his fist continued to approach Vicente, with the young man feeling more and more of the restriction caused by his enemy.
Looking at the fist of this figure of unfathomable cultivation, Vicente felt as if it was shrinking in size, while the enemy’s fist grew stronger towards him.
For a moment, Vicente thought this was the end, feeling paralyzed in the face of a power far superior to his own.
As he felt the moment of terror, the surrounding space distorted, revealing traces of a place far away and different from the patch of sea he was standing on.
Vicente didn’t look at anything other than his enemy’s fist. But he heard the sound of carriage wheels approaching, while the footsteps of dogs grew louder, indicating the arrival of the summoning he had just performed.
Sensing that he had a chance, however slim, he opened his mouth in fury, shouting as he moved all his strength into the crystal in one of his hands, the item that had put him in this situation.
As he did so, a bolt of golden lightning fell from the sky, reaching the position where he and his enemy stood, for an instant causing a giant bolt of lightning to appear and cover his body.
A shield of golden lightning formed in front of Vicente an instant before the powerful opponent’s fist hit him.
A loud ’clang’ reverberated from the contact position, with Vicente paling severely, but his shield holding for an instant, before starting to crack.
Then, when the shield could take no more, it exploded, throwing Vicente to one side and the enemy to the other, as the water around them evaporated, churning up the sea.
Vicente felt the beating as he battled not to lose consciousness, flying through the sky again after leaving the water, but totally out of control of his own movement.
’Shit! I’m exhausted!’ he thought to himself as he tried to find the enemy.
At that moment, however, he saw a totally different figure emerge from the midst of the combat. Positioned in a war chariot, pulled by Hell dogs, from which darkness leaked in great volume, a man with white hair, golden eyes and wings, almost 3 meters tall, suddenly appeared.
Vicente looked at the figure, obviously not recognizing him at first, since the infernal envoy he had seen twice had a totally different appearance.
Vicente saw the individual look in his direction and then turn his eyes to the platinum-haired enemy. The enemy was smiling after the seriousness of a moment ago. 𝚗o𝚟pub.𝚌𝚘𝚖
Vicente couldn’t read minds, but if he could, he would understand that the enemy had expected more from his summoning. Seeing the golden-winged man who had arrived from the Hell, his opponent laughed as he judged Vice’s action to be futile.
Meanwhile, on his ship, his companions were unconscious, clearly passed out from the powerful aura of the platinum-haired enemy.
"Later, we’ll talk about how to use a Banishing Ritual to deal with something other than creatures that deserve to be banished," said the figure with long white hair and golden wings. "Give me a minute and we’ll go to the Hell."
Vicente shuddered to hear those words, but at that moment, he had no choice but to entrust his future to the Hell. For better or worse, he had prepared himself for years to go to Hell and accept the invitation of this figure, whose voice he readily recognized from two previous encounters. The Hell, at least, wouldn’t try to control his body and soul, Vice thought...
The enemy man brandished in a powerful tone, "Hell is getting involved in this, demon?"
"You’ve chosen the wrong prey, Entitled Deity. I don’t want to fight you, but today you’ll have to retreat," said Vicente’s summoner, his form transforming into a diabolical five-winged dragon, his Hell guardians increasing in size and strength. "Back down peacefully or allow me to test my powers on you!"
The enemy trembled as Vice felt his strength increasing, quickly taking him to a level he had never reached before.
"That... What’s that?" Vicente asked himself as he felt his injuries improving rapidly, while his cultivation rose to the peak of the 8th stage, before entering the beginning of the next stage!
The man from the Hell looked at Vicente and shouted, "Go on the road to the Hell. This will be your only chance!"
Seeing this infernal figure’s eyes flash before focusing on his enemy, Vicente felt a chill, almost as if he had been struck by a blow. His mind worked, showing scenes of a chaotic and bloody future, something he sincerely preferred to avoid.
Coming back to reality, breathing hard and sweating, Vicente immediately understood that he had no option there.
He then reluctantly flew towards the distortion that led to Hell!
"Larissa, Rex and Lyra, keep going towards The Inviting Isles. I’ll catch up with you!" He shouted, getting further and further away.
"Thinking you’ll escape?" said the enemy under attack by the infernal being, now with a furious look on his face.
But when the silver flames threatened his direction, a gigantic hourglass formed behind him. The dragon with golden and silver scales laughed before saying. "I trapped a level 128 demon for a few seconds in this time regression. Take advantage of that and compare your differences with hers."
The platinum enemy only saw his movements regress, losing control of his powers. Meanwhile, menacing flames were advancing against him, with the enemy and his target fleeing amid their inability to move.
"What kind of power is that?" Vicente saw his savior’s movement and was obviously shocked.
"Time," said the infernal being, as he flew away, not wanting to be around when that individual escaped his ability.
So Vicente found himself side by side with the five-winged man and the Hell guardians of that figure just before he entered the spatial distortion. They only heard that figure’s crazed screams as they left the confines of the enemy domain, entering the border between Anicane and Hell!
"Bastard!"
But that man would never dare visit the Hell, making this narrow escape possible!
